Dr Attiya Khan
Staff Specialist Geriatrician currently working at Gosford Hospital, with over eight years of experience in NSW public hospitals across acute geriatrics, rehabilitation, ambulatory care, Hospital in the Home (HITH) and general medicine. I obtained FRACP Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine in 2025 and previously worked as a Staff Specialist Geriatrician at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care to older adults.
I have broad experience in the assessment and management of frailty, dementia, delirium, multimorbidity and complex geriatric presentations, with particular interests in perioperative geriatrics and complex discharge planning. I am committed to delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care and working collaboratively with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams.
I also hold MRCP (UK) and a Specialty Certificate in Endocrinology and Diabetes (UK), with prior senior clinical experience overseas. Alongside clinical practice, I have a strong interest in medical education and professional development, including teaching medical students and junior doctors. In 2025, I served as Lead Examination Organiser for the FRACP Clinical Examination at Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital.
I am a compassionate, approachable and collaborative clinician who values continuity of care, clear communication and high-quality outcomes for older adults.
Dr Khan speaks English, Urdu and Hindi languages.
